Questions

Questions people ask.

  • Which business management course is best in South Africa?

It depends on the job. To manage or start a small business, an entrepreneurship qualification such as the National Occupational Certificate: Entrepreneurial Business Manager (NQF Level 4); to sell and grow business for a company, the Higher Occupational Certificate: Business Development Officer (NQF Level 5); for marketing and advertising, the Higher Occupational Certificate: Advertiser or a short digital marketing bootcamp.

  • Can I do a business course online without matric?

Yes. The Digital Marketing bootcamp has no entry requirement, and the two NQF Level 4 certificates accept Grade 10 with the stated subjects. The NQF Level 5 certificates need matric or an NQF Level 4 equivalent.

  • Are the business courses accredited?

The four Occupational Certificates are QCTO-accredited and registered on the National Qualifications Framework. The Digital Marketing bootcamp is a job-skills programme with a certificate of completion.

  • How long do the courses take?

The bootcamp takes nine weeks part-time. Each Occupational Certificate takes about 18 months, including workplace modules and the national exam.

  • What do the business courses cost?

From R1,950 a month for the Digital Marketing bootcamp; the certificates from R5,363 a month or R55,000 to R67,850 upfront, plus the EISA exam fee paid separately.

  • Do I need a laptop?

Yes, for every programme; live classes are online. Graphic Media Designer needs a laptop that can run design software.

  • Will I get a job?

Zaio does not guarantee a job. Every programme ends with a portfolio or a live business, and career services help with your CV, portfolio and interviews.
