(01)What is the price of the Data Science bootcamp?
The upfront fee is R32,950, which is the lowest total price for this bootcamp. You can also pay from R3,213 a month through Manati, or in instalments; both cost more in total.
(02)How long is the bootcamp?
Seven months of live online classes, broken into weekly and daily tasks, with 12 months of access to the recordings afterwards.
(03)Do I need a maths or coding background?
No. The bootcamp starts with Python from the beginning. Comfort with basic arithmetic and logical thinking helps; you do not need statistics or programming experience.
(04)Are there exams?
No. The bootcamp is project-based. You complete weekly tasks and data projects, and your portfolio is the assessment.
(05)What is the difference between this bootcamp and the Data Science Occupational Certificate?
The bootcamp is seven months, project-based and focused on job skills. The Occupational Certificate: Data Science Practitioner is an 18-month QCTO-accredited national qualification at NQF Level 5 with a national exam and workplace modules. Choose the certificate if you want the qualification on your CV; choose the bootcamp for speed.
