“I’m from Empangeni, KZN,” Gugulethu shares proudly. “And I’ve always been passionate about building solutions through code.”

In one particular sprint, Gugulethu needed to extract specific years from a SQL data table. What started off as a simple query turned into a frustrating loop of wrong answers. Until she found clarity by rereading the brief (for the tenth time!) and discovering the magic of the distinct function.
That’s what growth looks like: hitting the wall, stepping back, and breaking through during difficult times.
