The Youth Employment Service required Zaio to train 3500 youth candidates over a twelve-month training programme, preparing them to become junior web developers and work ready by the end of the programme. This programme gives the candidates a chance to demonstrate their abilities, establish their work ethic and prove their worth for the industry.
The programme is focused on previously disadvantaged unemployed youth between the ages 18 and 35. Over the course of the program, the candidates will go through a series of workshops, assignments and practical projects that are simulated according to industry applications (eg. Property24 Clone application). By the end of the programme, candidates will be ready to work in industry environments.
The entire programme is SETA accredited. A blended learning approach is used, taking into consideration the current environment surrounding the COVID19 pandemic. YES is an initiative which is breaking new ground by pioneering partnerships with government and labour, in collectively tackling a national plan to build economic pathways for black youth.
